Poll results: Who was the top Section III football player of Week 6?

Syracuse, N.Y. — Waterville‘s freshman quarterback Ian Carney has earned the most votes and is this week’s syracuse.com Section III football player of the week.
Carney led the way for the Eagles with 231 passing yards, 74 rushing yards, three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the 50-26 win. His passing yards and touchdowns were both career highs.
This season, the freshman has 543 passing yards — the fifth-most in 8-man football. He’s 11th in rushing yards with 360 and his seven rushing touchdowns are tied for sixth-most.
